Bluebells by Maddie Reade

In the late part of spring
When bluebells are in full bloom
Their fragrance oh’ so sweet,
A magical essence putting me
In a happy cheery mood.

Their bell shaped little flowers
Their tall green slender stem,
Perfect for the ladies
Given with love, from gentlemen.

A carpet of blue colour
I dance around and sing
Now’s the time, now’s the time
To put on my fairy wings
No one is going to stop me
My heart has come alive
Seeing this beautiful flower
I shake and shiver inside.
Bluebells, bluebells,
I love you and adore,
I will always come to see
Cast away my daily chores,
Only once a year you come
And I wouldn’t miss you for the world.
