Mabrouk El Mechri directs this serpentine thriller about a family man driven to extreme measures to save the people he loves.
Hugely successful Wall Street trader Will Shaw (Henry Cavill) is the king of New York’s financial markets but he relinquishes all responsibilities when he goes on holiday to Spain with his wife Laurie (Caroline Goodall) and family.
During a sailing trip, Will’s loved ones are kidnapped and he goes on the rampage, determined to track them down.
Will quickly learns that intelligence agents led by the enigmatic Martin (Bruce Willis) are responsible for the abductions and the Shaws have inadvertently become embroiled in the search for a very special suitcase.
Without any thought for his own safety, Will risks everything to be reunited with his family.
The Cold Light Of Day wasn’t screened for critics before its release.
