Dick Van Dyke recalled life on the set of Mary Poppins as he attended the Princess Grace Foundation Awards in Beverly Hills to pick up a lifetime achievement humanitarian award. The Hollywood legend looked as lively as ever as he spoke of making his favourite movie Mary Poppins. The star revealed no-one on the set of the movie ever told him his notoriously cockney accent was bad - despite the fact nearly all the cast and crew were British themselves.
