Inspiration for artists across the county comes from all quarters but the famous Snakeshead Fritillaries in Cricklade's North Meadow are always a firm favourite.
To coincide with their first appearance this spring, the Cricklade Art Group is holding an exhibition of members drawings, painting and sculptures, in the new art gallery in the town called The Church Lane Gallery.
The display of artworks will be on show in the gallery in Church Lane until May 5. For more details visit www.crickladeart.co.uk.
Five members of the Hook Artists have also got spring on their minds with a Mad March hare hopping up in the exhibition called Conventions and Diversions.
The spring hare is by Jenny Pepper, and other artists on show are Jim Dowton, Lloyd Washington, Jane Fox and Brenda Muir.
The artists are also members of the Wiltshire Guild of Artists and their exhibition runs until Friday, May 1, at the John Bowen Gallery in Malmesbury Town Hall from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. It is free entry. - Flicky Harrison
