PUPILS Bella Smith and Cameron Dawson are sending out cards with a personal touch this festive season after winning a Christmas card design competition.

The youngsters and their classmates at Prior Park School’s pre-prep section, were challenged to create a picture of what they thought reminded them most of Christmas.

“The standard of all entries was really very high and it was difficult to choose between them,” said judge Tania Thompson, head of sales at Jackson-Stops and Staff estate agents, which sponsored the competition.

“However, the winning pictures really are lovely. It’s great to see Christmas through the eyes of children which is what these cards have managed to achieve. It’s wonderful to be working with Prior Park in Cricklade.”

Kate Mackenzie, head of pre-prep at Prior Park said: “The children have really enjoyed taking part in this. It will be such thrill for them to see the work of their classmates in print.”

Year 2 pupil Bella, aged six, and Cameron, who is five and in Year 1, were presented with book tokens and teddy bears for their artistic efforts.

Their cards will go on sale at the school priced at £1.
