THE stunning greenspace at Westonbirt Arboretum has been transformed into a magical winter wonderland ahead of the festive season.

Returning for yet another year, the hotly anticipated Enchanted Christmas Event will take visitors on a new route around the arboretum where the majestic trees have been illuminated against the starry night sky every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from November 25 until December 18.

Father Christmas and his elves will be making an appearance among the trees during the event while a number of colourful and interactive displays such as UV bubbles and festive treats are set to make it too good to miss.

Simon Hough, recreation manager, said: "Tickets are selling really well and it’s great to see Enchanted Christmas becoming a tradition for many families who are keen to come and experience the magic of Westonbirt at night.

"Our incredible illuminations transform the trees into a festive spectacle, certainly taking decoration of the Christmas tree to a whole new level."

As the cold nights draw in, visitors to the magical winter wonderland can also look forward to a lovely warm cup of mulled wine, hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts which are all available throughout the route.
