AS the nation gets ready to turn the clocks forward, the Wyvern Theatre will be turning time back several decades when they host an event for their Season of Vintage tomorrow.

The Wartime Pie and Punch Party at 6pm was created to support the Alzheimer’s Society’s national Flashback day. Prepare for a Victory style party, with hand-out ration tokens to exchange for a welcome glass of punch and a generous serving of dessert pie, before swing dancing aficionados Swingout Swindon take to the dance floor to demonstrate moves from across the eras and invite guests to join them for a jive or two.

The mini-event, in The Place, takes place just before the evening performance of Birdsong and cast members Martin Caroll, who plays Azaire, and Liz Garland, who plays Jeanne - both of whom have experienced dementia in their families - will be among the guests at the event.

Tickets for the Wartime Pie & Punch Party are £8, £6 of which will go directly to Alzheimer’s Society. swindontheatres.co.uk or by calling the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481.
