WHAT’S IT LIKE?: You will find a very warm welcome from the team at The Abbey. It is a community pub that offers a wide variety of events for adults and families alike. You will find live music, quizzes, children’s parties, charity events and more to keep you entertained. The menu offers something for everyone, from light bites to a massive 32oz Hub Cap Burger. The food is traditional pub grub with a difference. Fancy something hot? Try the Cut Throat Curry, not for the faint hearted, probably the hottest pub curry in Swindon.
The pub has live music and children’s activities almost every Saturday, and they have open darts competitions every two months. The next will be on May 17.
WHO GOES THERE?: The pub is perfect for anyone who wants a good meal or a nice relaxing drink. The spacious, modern pub, which has a great garden and outdoor play area for children, had a refurbishment in 2013. It has dedicated family booths, where children can watch Peppa Pig, Spiderman or CBeebies.
PRICES?: San Miguel for £3.30, Budweiser for £2.95, Stella Artois for £3.20, Fosters for £2.85, Carlsberg for £2.60 and Revisionist for £2.85. They also serve Thatchers for £3.35, Strongbow for £3.15, Guinness for £3.24, Ramsbury Gold for £2.94, and a range of guest ales for less than £3. A large glass of house wine is £3.50.
