Do you cook a lot yourself? What is your failsafe dish?

I do enjoy cooking and have a small group of friends who regularly meet up and take it in turns to bring either a starter, main course or dessert. My fail-safe dish would probably be Duke’s Crab Dip by Dynasty star Linda Evans. It’s from her cookery book and autobiography, Recipes for Life, and this particular recipe she got from John Wayne. I use it often as a starter with some Doritos when I have guests over – so it’s no longer the Duke’s, its mine!

Where do you like to eat out? How often?

Near my home in Warwickshire, there is a lovely restaurant called El Café which serves tapas dishes. Only last week I invited family over for a paella there. When I’m in Swindon, my colleagues from the Wyvern Theatre and I regularly visit Fratellos for lunch – their pizzas are incredible!

What do you always hope to find on a menu?

I always look at the desserts first – I have a real sweet tooth! So desserts come first, then main and finally I’ll ascertain whether there is room for a starter!

Which foods did you hate as a child? Do you eat them now?

Peas. My Mum doesn’t like them and neither do I. Though recently I have been persuaded by mushy peas.

What’s your favourite drink?

I love a Mojito or Strawberry Daiquiri.

Marmite: yes or no?

Absolutely not!

What’s your guilty pleasure when it comes to food...something you know you shouldn’t eat, but do anyway?

If I have a hot chocolate, I have to have all the works – marshmallows, whipped cream, a chocolate flake. And the hot chocolate should be syrupy and sickly!

You are on your own at home watching a film. What is your snack of choice?

Maltesers.

You are eating a bacon sandwich... ketchup, brown sauce or nothing at all? Ketchup. Lots of it.
