WHAT’S IT LIKE?
The Tawny Owl opened in November 2003. After seven years of welcoming thousands of locals and visitors through its doors, Arkell’s 103rd pub now stands proudly at the heart of the Taw Hill community. Managed by landlord Richard Crickmar since 2004, the venue has built a strong reputation as a gastro pub. The Tawny Owl has five en-suite rooms with free wi-fi.
WHO GOES THERE?
Warm and cosy, the Tawny Owl attracts a variety of customers from sports fans to ale connoisseurs families. The pub’s outdoors amphitheatre, waterwheel and purpose-built children's play area are just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing day out.
PRICES:
Wiltshire Gold £3.15, 3B £3.10, Kingsdown £3.15. A small glass of house wine is £2.60. A large glass is £4.05.
