Strange Days indeed! Stranger still when Willie Scott struts his stuff as the late, great Jim Morrison in Doors Alive, recreating the look and sound of the inventor of cool.

The tribute band will be rocking the Road House in The Vic, Victoria Road, Old Town, Swindon, on Saturday, August 23.

The musicians strive to match that dark, psychedelic style by using the same instruments as the original members of The Doors, including vintage keyboards, a Gibson SG guitar and Fender Rhodes bass. Doors Alive are now in demand all over the world, regularly touring Dubai, The Middle East, The Netherlands, Ireland, Poland, Malta, Germany and France.

The tribute band have built up a reputation for taking their audience back to the swinging sixties, performing all the big hits such as Light My Fire, When The Music’s Over, Riders On The Storm, The End, from when The Doors were notching up success after success.

Willie says that to capture the attitude and moves of Jim Morrison on stage, he studied many DVDs and film footage of the rock titan, until he mastered his mannerisms and posture.

The Swindon gig starts at 8pm and tickets are £10 from 01793 535713.
