Status Quo will be rocking all over Lechlade this summer as the rock band are headlining the music festival .

Led by Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi the legendary rockers have been notching up hit records for more than 50 golden years. They hold the record for more hit singles than any other band both internationally and in the UK chart history - 64 in Britain. Quo favourites include Down Down, Matchstick Men, Rocking All Over The World, Paper Plane and many others. And last year their latest UK album Aquostic - Stripped Bar spent six weeks in the album charts.

Jennie Rainsford, festival director said: “I can’t describe how excited we are to welcome Status Quo. This is a realy turning point for Lechlade and helps us to consolidate the hard work that’s gone into the last four years. Status Quo are legendary and always put on a fantastic show. Tickets are seling fast.’’

Quo will be jetting in, probably not on their Paper Plane, for the festival that takes place from May 22 to 24. On the Saturday night it will be Dr and the Medics headlining and amongst the other 60 bands on offer are Whole Lotta Led, Twister, Alex Rainsford, Frankenstein’s Lobster and Xander and the Keys.

The festival also hosts variuos stalls selling a variety of crafts and foods, workshops in singing and dancing and a children’s area with lots of glitter and imagination There is also story telling with Chris Park.
