CUSTOMERS making their minds up in the aisles of Morrisons today and tomorrow (FRI and SAT) will be doing so to the strains of past Eurovision songs.

Ahead of Saturday's contest, the store will be playing a number of past Euro favourites, including the likes of Abba's Waterloo Making Your Mind Up, by Bucks Fizz.

The tunes will be ringing out in the aisles of stores in Dorcan Way and at Regent Circus, the supermarket said, with more than 50 tracks from previous winners integrated into the store’s usual playlist.

Rebecca Singleton, central retail operations director at Morrisons, said: "Over the past 60 years the Eurovision Song Contest has become a very British celebration - and we’re happy to mark that, for this big anniversary.

"Many of our customers will be stocking up for their Eurovision parties this week, so it stands to reason that we should play some classics from the competition and help them get in the right mindset."

The Eurovision hits will be played in-store at Morrisons in Swindon throughout the day today and on Saturday.
