THAMESDOWN Ladies Choir has presented a cheque for £2,500 to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The choir celebrated Christmas at Bath Road Methodist Church on December 15 with their guests, The Janice Thompson Performance Trust Junior Girls' Choir.

During a very successful sell-out concert, Diane Lee, on behalf of the ladies of the choir, presented the cheque to Steve Goodrick, fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The choir had chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as its charity for 2016 and were delighted that they were able to donate such a substantial amount.

Last summer the choir celebrated its 40th anniversary and plans are already under way for this year’s season of performances. For more information see the choir’s websitethames downladieschoir.co.uk.

TLC rehearse on Thursday evenings at the New Century Club, Gorse Hill and would welcome enquiries from women who want to join the choir.

Membership secretary Lesley Hemingway can be contacted by email: lesley.hemingway@gmail.com or via the TLC website.
