ROCK sensation Elbow are the latest band to announce they will be playing at the spectacular Westonbirt Arboretum in the summer.
The band, who are renowned for their intimate live shows, will play in the historic woodlands on Thursday, June 15, as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series organised by the Forestry Commission.
By holding concerts in places such as Westonbirt, the Commission hope to introduce new audiences to the wonder of the outdoors and all income generated from ticket sales will be spent on protecting, improving and expanding England's forests and woodlands.
Since their debut album Asleep at the Back in 2001, Elbow have continued to rise in popularity, playing a trio of sets on the Pyramid Stage in Glastonbury, closing the London 2012 Olympics and recreating their Mercury Prize winning album The Seldom Seen Kid with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Tickets, which cost £41.50 plus a £4.65 booking fee, go on sale at 9am on Friday, January 20, from the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
