MEMBERS of Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group are on the hunt for international men of mystery to join them for a black tie event later this spring.

The charity will host a 007-themed ball at Swindon Town Football Club on Saturday, April 1 from 7pm.

They will be serving up drinks, a four-course meal with wine and entertainment including a casino, a live band and a disco.

There will also be a fundraising raffle and auction to further boost money raised for the cause.

Tickets, costing £55 each, or £50 a person for bookings of a table of ten, can be made by visiting www.justgiving.com/fundraising/charityball007.

Alternatively, text SDSG80 to 70070 along with the amount you are paying.

The event is for over 18s only.

The group, established in 1984, is a parent-led charity supporting people with Down’s Syndrome, their families, carers and all those with an interest in Down’s Syndrome in Swindon and the surrounding area.

As well as being a one-stop shop for families living with the syndrome, they organise a number of events and activities – with a highlight of the calendar being the Salamander course with Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Last year the group was named as one of the recipients of the Pride Of Swindon Awards.
