Wiltshire trio Port Erin have released their fourth album this month and will be playing a taster when they perform in Swindon tomorrow.

Last year the musicians from Melksham toured with Nick Harper, son of singer/songwriter Roy Harper, finishing with a fanfare finale at The Borderline in Soho, London.

The trio are Cerys Brocklehurst on drums, Jacob Tyghe on bass and Reuben Tyghe on guitar and vocals.

Ocean Grey was released via Burning Shed and recorded in the Wiltshire Studio belonging to Chris Hughes. It follows the success of Floating Above the City, Live 2015, and Wheel Inside A Wheel.

Nick is not the only famous name to pick up on the sonic soundscape music of Port Erin. Paul Heaton from The Beautiful South also lent them his backing and his producer on two of their earlier albums.

The trio have played at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, made famous by The Beatles, and Glastonbury Festival three times.

They were spotted by BBC Introducing team and won air play from BBC 6 Music presenter Tom Robinson.

Port Erin are currently touring to promote the new album and will be playing from 8.30pm, tomorrow in the Beehive, 55 Prospect Hill, Old Town, at a free gig. For more details call 01793 523187. - Flicky Harrison
