Swindon musician Chloe Little and her band InHeaven have made it on to the Radio 1 playlist, have scooped summer festival dates and recently supported Blossoms on tour.

The rock band are set to release their self titled debut album on Friday, September 1, and Chloe and fellow band founder James Taylor created the art work themselves. The musicians are firm believers in keeping the music reins in their own hands, and they are hoping to preview their 12-track album at HMV stores up and down the UK, including Swindon, during the first week of September. They have also notched up gigs at Wychwood Festival, Truck Festival, headline slot at Bath University, support slot with Sundara Karma and Reading Festival this summer.

Chloe said: "We were lucky enough to play a small stage at Reading last year but this year we are playing the NME/ Radio 1 stage in front of 20,000 people. Radio 1 have been very supportive.''

InHeaven were asked to support Blossoms on their album tour of the UK, but Chloe thinks they may not have been so keen had they known that InHeaven had actually called themselves Blossom, until they discovered there was another band of a similar name.

"When we first saw Blossoms from Stockport we thought we would never cross paths, little did we know. The tour was amazing, they are such lovely guys and we won over a lot of their fans,'' said Chloe, who grew up in West Swindon.

The singer attended Shaw Ridge and Bradon Forest schools, took her A levels at Cirencester College before studying History of film at Kings College London.

She began writing music when she was just 15-years-old and, alongside her school work, she was very much into the arts attending Swindon Young Actors, Swindon Rock School, Janice Thompson School, Tanwood and Swindon Academy of Dance.

"All those helped me get where I am now, Rock School gave me confidence to do this, and I owe Mollie Tanner a lot too, she taught me performance skills, she said.

The singer believes in her home town and they are return for a gig at Level 111 on Thursday, June 22.

"I remember it when it was The Furnace. I went to it and played in it,'' she said.

Chloe, who sings and plays bass in the band, and James who sings and plays guitar, met a couple of years ago. They found they had similar tastes so decided to create the band pulling on board Jake Lucas on guitar and Joe Lazarus on drums.

Her film studies also helped when the band tackled their music videos, and Chloe said she really enjoys going on tour.
