DJ Hazard swapped his pizza delivery cap for a mixing deck and became an award-winning drum and bass maestro.

He is coming to Swindon to headline Rotate club night with Miss Melody.

The DJ grew up in Birmingham with a passion for drum and bass and early jungle music which sprang from the ragga and hip hop scene that swept the UK in the early 1990s.

He began squirrelling away little musical gems and was hungry to get into the local club scene. To fund his music the DJ worked in factories, washed up in restaurants and even delivered pizzas and at night he began DJ-ing in the clubs.

Gradually DJ Hazard made a name for himself and had his own show on Kook FM Midlands radio alongside MCs Biggie and Acapello. and worked with DJ SS from Formation Records. He was spotted by DJ Hype, who snapped him up to join the crew of Playaz.

This move opened doors and a string of releases followed under his name. He produced two of the biggest tracks in dance music: Mr Happy and Bricks Don’t Roll, and played sets at Parklife Festival in the UK, Hideout in Croatia and Dour in Belgium. His anthems Busted and 0121 topped the Drum and Bass charts, and last year the club-mixer won DJ of the Year Award.

Still very much in partnership with DJ Hype, he played a run of B2B shows along with Ibiza@Together and the Playaz stage at SW4 festival.

DJ Hazard is bringing his sonic beats and earthquake bass lines to Swindon alongside XD, Lady Y-Len, Shane Fuller and host Chrissy B in the main room, while Sham and Mossy Rana play urban R ‘n’ B in the Lounge. DJ Hazard at Rotate, Suju, High Street, Old Town, Swindon on Friday, March 2 from 11pm to 5am. For more details visit http://suju.co.uk/- Flicky Harrison
