Hiding herself away in a recycled shack in the Australian outback, the multi-instrumentalist, Emily Maguire, created her first two albums.

Coming back to mainstream UK, the singer toured with American legend Don McLean and scooped air play on BBC Radio 2 with two singles from her third album, Believer.

Her fourth album in 2013 was Bird Inside A Cage. She will be singing a selection of her thought-provoking lyrics from all her albums and some new songs when she performs at the Old Stables Club behind the White Hart Hotel in Cricklade on Thursday, April 19.

Emily is a staunch supporter and advocate for mental health and she has appeared on Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Loose Ends and Midweek where she was interview by Libby Purves talking about her book, Start Over Again, which was an account of her experiences of living with bipolar disorder.

Emily has also written a new book, Notes From The North Pole, and last year her album A Bit of Blue brought her a host of new fans.

Also on the bill in Cricklade is Saskia Griffiths-Moore, a former Harley Street craniosacral therapist, who threw over her career to follow her music, originally living in a camper van and busking her ways round the UK.

A craniosacral therapist uses gentle touch to palpate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium.
