SWINDON music legend (butchers pronounce it leg-end, he tells
us) Andy Partridge kindly volunteered to answer a range of questions on music-related topics from our readers.
He first rose to fame with XTC in 1977 at the tip of the punk explosion and is still a highly respected member of the music community.
Everyone will remember hits such as Sgt Rock (Is Going To Help Me), and Senses Working Overtime and now, after 30 years, XTC and Andy have more than 30 albums to their name.
As well as being a singer, songwriter and guitarist, Andy has been a record producer, run his own label, been a broadcaster on radio, appeared on numerous TV programmes and written songs for other
artists, as well as penning film and TV music.
So scroll through the questions and answers at your leisure - you never know, you might learn something!

Q. Dear Andy, I have really liked the song dictionary of doubt would you ever consider doing a entire solo acoustic album?
Christa Fremont
A. Christa, Christa, she likes to write a lista. I have considered making an entire acoustic record, yes.
But I don't think it will be for some time as I'm rather sick of music at the moment. Perhaps madam muse will return when she is in the mood, until then I'll try not to fret. AP
