Good Dog are a Swindon-based rock band made up of four 18-year-olds who, despite their young age, have been gigging for around five years.
They mix up punk, funk, reggae and hardcore music styles. All these genres influenced their latest and third album of their own songs called Blue Sky Dreams.
The four musicians recorded and mastered the CD themselves. The name sums up the theme: freedom, from relationships, school, prejudice
and inhibitions.
The band are singer/songwriter Ben Cartwright on bass, Joe Yon and James Penny as singers and guitarists and Jack Tuckwell on drums.
The four guys started Good Dog when they were taking their GCSEs playing the school battle of the bands competition. This led them to enter and win the
nationwide schools battle of the bands at the Cornbury Music Festival in 2005.
