Mexico 68 are an indie pop band led by Swindon singer/songwriter Del Fry. The band have been together for a couple of years and play mainly their own songs.

“I try to write good, solid pop rock songs. There are no hidden meanings and they are what they are,’’ said Del. Joining Del in the band are Graham Cole on lead guitar, Charles Durrant on rhythm guitar, Andrew Fielden on drums and Graham Newell on bass.

Del started playing guitar when he was 16 years old but gave it up when he married and had a family. He never lost his interest in music and has a CD collection that amounts to thousands. Del plays a telecaster guitar on stage.

The band’s influences reflect the stars they grew up with including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Squeeze, Graham Parker and Elvis Costello.
