Suspicions, led by Lee Armitage, are a new band made up from members of the former mod band Roundabout.

Lee is a systems executive by day and at night he leads his band of merry men in a set of maximum garage soul.

”It is played from the heart to capture yours,” said Lee.

Joining Lee in the band are Richie Guy on bass, Steve Paul on lead guitar, Steve Rose on drums and Dean Sweeney on rhythm guitar.

The guys play a mix of their own songs and covers and their latest track is titled Father Christmas Won¹t Be Long.

”We wanted to write a classic Christmas song as it’s been such a long time since there¹s been a proper new one written, and we¹re approaching publishers with it at the moment,” said Lee. “Obviously it was too late for anything to happen with it this Christmas, but maybe next....”

The singer says that the band is like The Yardbirds but with Reggie King on vocals.

”In the words of the immortal Donald Duck Dunn, ‘these boys roll like the proverbial steam train’,” said Lee, describing the band’s style.
