ELECTRONIC music will take centre stage at Swindon's Festival On The Farm on Saturday, July 23 as top synth-pop duo Binomial top the bill as the headline act.

The duo is the pairing of singer/songwriter Paul Dodson and electro/dance artist ALR (AKA Andy Randle).

Described by some critics as 'Synthtastic' they are renowned for their polished performances of classic 80s synth-pop, including hits by such artists as the Pet Shop Boys, Soft Cell, The Human League, OMD, Depeche Mode and Erasure.

With their original arrangements, extended mixes and their flamboyant 'feathers and leathers' style Binomial has wowed audiences and secured a loyal following.

The pair have successfully reimagined the electronic 80s for a 21st century audience.

Festival On The Farm is an annual three day event organised by Purton House Organics in conjunction with world famous live music venue Riffs Bar.

Held at Purton House Organics Farm, this funky event boasts amazing bands, great food and great beer.

Along with Binomial, this year's band line-up includes Hooch, The Nomarks, The Shudders, Toxic, Vice Versa, In It For The Money and SN Dubstation.

Singer Paul first performed at Festival On The Farm last year. The duo have played at a number festivals including Lakefest, The Phoenix Festival and Swindon Pride but they say what makes this festival so special is the atmosphere.

"It simply has a great vibe," said Paul.

"When we took to the stage in 2015, people literally stopped in their tracks to listen to us. Our performance had the crowd buzzing. We could see a field filled with singing and dancing people - our favourite music giving everyone a great time. An amazing experience for any band.

"We are delighted that the reaction to our appearance led to the festival organisers making us this year's headline act."

The festival runs from July 22-24.
