LEGENDARY rockers Status Quo will bring their classic anthems to next year's Lechlade Festival.

Having racked up a massive 64 British hit singles - more than any other band - music lovers at the three-day event, which takes place from May 22 to 24, are sure to enjoy a set list packed with familiar anthems.

The will close the event, the fifth Lechlade Festival, which is moving to a new, yet-to-be-confirmed home for 2015.

“I can’t describe how excited we are to announce Status Quo,” said festival director, Jennie Rainsford.

“This is a real turning point for Lechlade and helps us to consolidate the hard work that’s gone into the last four years.

"The new site will enable us to provide a better layout and improved facilities for festival goers while retaining our safe, family-friendly environment.

"Status Quo are legendary and always put on a fantastic show, tickets are expected to sell fast.”

Wychwood Brewery will also return as festival sponsors next year, bringing more beers with them for their second year at the event, including Piledriver – the beer they launched in partnership with Status Quo in February.

Early Bird Tickets are on sale now for Lechlade Festival 2015. Lechlade locals will benefit from a 50 per cent discount*, though tickets are limited so don’t hesitate.
