THOSE pioneers of pure nostalgia Sham 69 blistered the foundations of Swindon’s MECA with a set that unashamedly upped their already wisdomic reputations.
The trio of Pursey, Parsons and Tregunna individually stamped their musical vocabulary on the night with a catalogue which was replete in classics that bit on the musical nerve like no other.
They played their classic hits and proved their legacy is stamped in punk history.
Sham 69’s career has hit so many highs that coming down was not an option.
The sheer volume of material on show at their Swindon gig was testament to that fact. Truly outstanding.
