A SPECIAL party is to be held in July to mark the launch of Swindon and Wiltshire Pride 2017.

The event, which will be staged from 7.30pm at the Mailcoach in Fleet Street on Saturday, July 8, will see special guests entertaining crowds all through the night.

The theme for this year’s launch party is Hollywood Glitz and Glamour and the organising committee is inviting everyone to help make the launch night an extravaganza to remember.

Entertainment this year will be provided by the fabulous Mrs Bridy and the Boy Jase with guest singers Nathanael and Jinny Jay, along with DJ Roland blasting out the tunes.

Jo Sharpe, chairman of Swindon and Wiltshire Pride, said: “Swindon and Wiltshire Pride has become a vibrant community and family event which many people look forward to. For us to announce the launch date of our 10th year is a very proud moment.

“We hope everyone involved, past and present will rejoice in their achievements. Their help and the support they have given in makes Pride happen.

“Without our army of dedicated volunteers, amazing acts, and commitment from the service providers and supporters of Pride, the event would not be here today, so thank you.”

The evening will kick off with a karaoke spectacular and there will be a £100 cash prize raffle. Tickets are available from the Mailcoach or from Pride committee members.

Swindon and Wiltshire Pride will take place this year on July 29 in Town Gardens.
