SONS of Pitches, winners of BBC2’s The Naked Choir, are heading to Swindon next week.

Following on from the success of their two 2016 tours, where they wowed over 40,000 fans, they will be bringing their SOPTV Show to Swindon.

The SOPTV tour will explore the highly entertaining world of television, through the Sons’ own inimitable style and vocal delivery.

Come and celebrate the world of TV in an a cappella adventure from terrestrial to digital, from tacky to wacky, in full HD. Expect performances of your favourite TV themes, quiz shows, talent competitions and more… all using the human voice.

What will Midé cook up on our Masterchef beatbox edition? Will Joe Novelli receive four 10s for his Strictly Come Dancing performance?

The boys will even be handing the remote control over to the audience for the group’s trademark improvisation.

Sons of Pitches released their all-new original album in May and this will be the first time you will be able to hear these songs live.

The group got together in 2010 when Joe Hinds and Joe Novelli were at Birmingham University, and set up a harmony group as a bit of fun.

They were spotted on Youtube by producers of Gareth Malone’s show and invited to audition.

“We had to put a song together in a week,’’ said Joe. “We decided on Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off. It was nerve racking and we were a bit sceptical about it as we were trying to steer clear of the mainstream because it is all about how you are perceived on TV.

“But then we met Gareth, he helped us. He was new to acapella but he loved it and it gave us a platform, pitch battle TV.’’

Sons Of Pitches will be at the Wyvern on Tuesday, June 27 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are between £28 and £33 from 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
