SINGING sensation Lewis Blissett has sailed through to the semi-finals of The Voice Kids after beating off stiff competition from other youngsters.

The 13-year-old from Old Town sang his little heart out last night during the battles round joining two other contestants to perform a rendition of Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud.

Judge Pixie Lott had to pick one contestant to go through to the next round and to Lewis' surprise she announced the Commonweal pupil had been successful.

Leaving the stage in tears, Lewis told host Emma Willis: "I'm just so happy. Thank you so much."

Lewis will perform again on the popular ITV series this weekend during the semi-finals.
