Swindon musician Ray Butt, has taken on the challenge of organising a jazz night at a new venue, Tetbury Goods Shed, in Tetbury.

The venue was a local railway goods shed that has been extensively revamped, supported by the Tetbury Lands Regeneration Trust.

Ray, who leads his own band, Fretless And Friends, is presenting the David Newton Quartet as his first act at the jazz evening tomorrow, starting at 7.30pm.

Ray said: “It really is a stunning venue and a huge effort, mainly by volunteers, has gone into the refurbishment and reconstruction of this old train goods shed.

"Clearly a huge fundraising exercise by all has resulted in the construction of this amazing venue, so book tickets as David Newton is one of the UK’s top jazz piano players.’’
