AUDIENCES are urged to pull on their platform boots to mark the anniversary of Dancing Queen, the million-selling, number one hit for Swedish super stars Abba.

Dancing Queen is now 40 years old, and Thank You For The Music pays tribute in a hit-packed show that comes to Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre on November 9 at 7.30pm.

The show recreates all the glitz of a glam rock concert of the 1970s with a set list of hits by Abba including: Waterloo, Mamma Mia, Take A Chance On Me, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight), Knowing Me Knowing You, Does Your Mother Know, Fernando, The Winner Takes It All, Super Trouper, Lay All Your Love On Me and Chiquitita.

Producer Michael Taylor said: “Combining Lycra-tight harmonies with superb musicianship, Thank You for the Music has outlasted Abba in their prime. Dancing Queen represents the pinnacle of the group’s career, and we have produced a new show rocking the sound of the right music for 2017.”

Behind the singers there will be an interactive video projection showcasing highlights of Abba’s musical career.

Also jive talking on to the Wyvern stage will be Beegees Magic, paying tribute to The Bee Gees. They will be performing such songs as: Night Fever, Jive Talkin’, How Deep Is Your Love, You Should Be Dancing, Massachusetts, Words and To Love Somebody among other great hits.

Tickets are £26 from 01793 524481 or visit www.swindontheatres.co.uk.
