The sounds of Spain
Juan Martin, known as the sorcerer of flamenco, is bringing his colourful show featuring the Flamenco Dance Ensemble to Swindon next week.
The composer has been voted one of the top three guitarists in the world by US magazine Guitar Player, and he has worked with such luminaries as Herbie Hancock and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Juan comes from Andalusia in Spain and has delved into the roots of the music of the Moors, uncovering 12th and 13th century flamenco no longer played in the country.
Juan’s Swindon show is on Thursday, February 21 at the Wyvern Theatre from 7.30pm. TIckets are £16.50 from 01793 524481.
