A time of mists and mellow fruitfulness heralds the autumn exhibition of The Guild of Wiltshire Artists.

The standard required to become a member of the guild is extremely high and this exhibition, at St Peter’s Church in Marlborough’s High Street, reflects that. On show from Monday, September 22, to Saturday, September 27 are pictures with a wide range of subjects and styles from various artists.

Sonia Leggett is best known for her pictures of flowers. She works mainly in watercolour but has also experimented with gouache, inks, acrylics and collage for her architectural artworks.

Sonia had one of her miniatures accepted for a national open exhibition of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers. She is a member of the Society of Floral Painters and has shown her work with the Hilliard Society of Miniaturists.

It is free entry to see the Guild of Wiltshire Artists’ work on show from 10am to 4.30pm.
