BRYAN ADAMS Tracks Of My Years
This is mostly a collection of songs important to the young Bryan Adams – even before he laid hands on his first real six-string.
There’s a Beatles cover (Any Time At All), Chuck Berry (Rock And Roll Music) and more laid-back offerings such as I Can’t Stop Loving You and Lay Lady Lay.
All are done with the respect you’d expect given their personal significance. Equally though, they’ve all been infused with that particular sound that Adams has perfected over more than 30 rockin’ years, and many of them could easily be mistaken for originals.
There is one new track, She Knows Me, an up-tempo sing-along which doesn’t suffer in comparison to these classics, or indeed his own back catalogue. 8/10 – Mike Fletcher
