It's wow factor blues

Jon Bucket Jon Bucket

Passion, passion, passion and then some and it is all for the music when the Innes Sibun Band takes to the stage.

Whether Innes is playing a stadium gig with Robert Plant or performing to a handful of people in an intimate backstreet pub he gives it welly and commitment.

His ferocious fretwork lassos and holds you captured in awe. The intensity of the blues is sweet and sour in equal measure served up with a soaring rock vocal.

The band never allow us to wallow in the depths of their haunting blues for long. Light relief comes bounding in to the set with a smiley rock ‘n’ roll beat. Most of the small but appreciative crowd were drawn to their feet and dancing.

On the keyboards is Swindon’s own Jon Bucket.

In a world of keyboard wizards Jon is both the Gandalf and the Harry Potter and a phenomenal pianist in all genres. He uses that amazing rock ‘n’ roll palm slide that is fab to see as well as listen to.

He can turn his hand to any instrument, including playing a mean bass, but when you see his fingers flash, crash, caress and stroke the keyboard it is on piano that Jon has the real wow factor.

Fellow band members gave some superb performances with a drum solo to die for, full of stick tricks and frolicsome fun.

Great band that gives a corking backdrop for Innes’ magical guitar.
