Riffs night is simply ripping

On a cold and snowy February Friday I visited the quaint and rustic Riffs Bar and what an evening of entertainment I enjoyed.

First up was 16-year-old Greendown singer/songwriter Faye Rogers who mesmerised the audience with her haunting melodies.

Then we had The Playmakers from Cirencester who raised the tempo with their own compositions before three Bradon Forest teenagers who are making a name for themselves as The Dalghetties raised the roof with their pacey Smiths inspired set of original compositions.

Watch out for the catchy Iron Sky and Oliver.

The final band of the night was the excellent 10-piece jazz funk band A & T; they calmed the evening down and everyone went home relaxed.

In a nutshell, four bands for over three hours and for only £3 is a great night at Riffs - Claire Alexander
