This is the debut album of Swindon acoustic and electric guitar duo, Jules Hill and Frank Lucas. There is a mystical quality to Jules’ voice that mesmerises and entertains all through this five-track album.

It is a picture postcard of summer festivals, giving the perfect backdrop to Jules’ wide ranging vocals and Frank’s quicksilver toned guitar.

Hide And Play Seek takes listeners to a twilight land where festival lights twinkle across the hillsides of Britain, but Rucksack Jack is undoubtedly my favourite; a strong, contemporary pop song with a rocky tequila hit. The road trip vibe, feelgood tune and stirring guitar are enough to make your toes curl.

The Spy has some atmospheric guitar from Frank, an intricate solo and orchestral build that paints the scene for Jules to take the reins. Her vocals soar, showing her amazing range.

The only cover on the album is Woodstock, which is totally in keeping with the festival vibe. Julesbury put their own take on it, creating a soundtrack to all the weird wackiness of an era bathed in psychedelia.

Last up is an intense and passionate song, Brave Man, with a melody reeking of sadness and loss, yet beautifully sung by Jules, whose demureness on stage belies the strength and depth of her vocals.
