The Storm by Barb Anscombe
The Storm is getting ready
Dark clouds to match my mood
The rumbling of deep thunder
Anger coursing right through me
A streak of lightening flashes
Marking the blazing in my eyes
Raindrops making splashes
As the tears begin to arrive
The rain gets steadier and faster
The sobbing soon takes heed
Puddles take their shape and form
Is it rain or is it me?
After an age the load gets lighter
Tears begin to cease
The clouds thin out and drift apart
The sun comes peeping through
As warm seeps in
Cold Creeps out
Cobwebs clear from my mind
Frustration eases
Wind gently teases
The weight preying on my mind
Shades of blue
A gentle hue
A lightning in my heart
The storm has passed
All is calm
The weather has played it's part
