Dreams by Norah Pound
Let me dream my whole life through
I want to dream and dream of you
Dreams are but a moment
In one's sleeping time
When we go to bed each night
Slowly close our eyes
We hope to dream of people
We can only memorise.
Children dream of fairies
All spectacular things
Tigers, dragons and butterflies
Oh, such pretty things
The mind of a child
Full of imagination
They don't need an explanation.
Dreams are but pictures
Laid there in our minds
They last just seconds
In our sleeping time
So while our weary bodies rest
Our mind still ticks away
When we wake tomorrow
Our dreams will go asunder.
