Look out Tescos here we come
lots of shopping to be done
Toothpaste, conditioner and shampoo
Still so very much to do
Carrots, parsnips, leeks and greens
Just see the price of those green beans
Then around the corner and it's fruit for lunch
Lettuce, tomatoes, and a spring onion bunch
Eggs and gravy and bovril too
Then a packet of suet, just right for a stew
Minced beef, chicken breasts, and a leg of lamb
Cheese and quiche and a quarter of ham
Milk and butter and some double cream
That will make an apple pie a heavenly dream
Next some bacon, buy one get one free
That's one for you and one for me
Biscuits, crisps and a bottle of coke
Oops, nearly bumped into that elderly bloke
Baked beans, tuna and a tin of broad beans
Plus a tin of corned beef cos it's nice and lean
Evap milk, tinned fruit and a trifle mix
Help' the trolley's gone wonkey the wheels in a fix
Tissues, kitchen rolls, and loo rolls of course
Better back track I've forgotten the sauce
Washing powder, Vanish that's in the last aisle
Look at the trolley, that's enough in that pile
So it's off to the check-out, it's time now to pay
All in all it's been a good day.
