At last the winter's almost over
And really I should feel that I'm in clover
The birds are singing in the trees
I've even seen some Bumble Bees
But despite the sunshine what do I do
I go and catch a dose of flu
My nose is running and I'm feeling hot
I ache in places I've forgotten I've got
I'm trying to get my temperature down
And I've drunk so much I feel I'll drown
My throat is sore and I'm feeling rough
And my voice is sounding really quite gruff
But never mind as I've said before
Spring is just outside the door.
