Clive Owen is set to make his Broadway debut in the Harold Pinter play Old Times.

Described as an “unsettling drama of desire and blurred realities”, the play will star Clive from September 17.

It sees an old friend of the wife in a married couple come to stay, bringing with her plenty of memories and some menace, too.

The Oscar-nominated Closer star will be directed by Douglas Hodge when he takes to New York’s theatre district later this year.

Clive’s past experience on the stage includes playing Romeo at the Young Vic, starring in Sean Mathias’ staging of Noel Coward’s Design for Living and playing the lead role in the original production of Patrick Marber’s Closer.

Other British stars to have recently appeared on Broadway or signed up to star include Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy.
