Jeff Brazier has told of his heartbreak after his son bought his late mother Jade Goody’s perfume for a friend’s birthday, then discovered he was not invited to the party.
Reality TV star Goody died of cervical cancer in 2009 at the age of 27, leaving behind sons Bobby and Freddie, who were aged just five and four at the time.
Brazier, who was no longer in a relationship with Goody at the time of her death, said he felt for 12-year-old Freddie after he chose the touching gift for the school friend.
He posted a message on Twitter saying: “Felt for Fred today.
“He got a girl at school some of his Mums perfume for her birthday only to find out he wasn’t invited to her party.”
The TV presenter added a broken heart emoji.
When fans started posting messages of support, Brazier added: “Sharing his Mum in any form is the highest gesture he could offer.
“It was more a specific numbers thing I think so not to be taken to heart.”
He later added: “Such courage to open himself up like that. I’m really proud.”
