Roll up roll up for your Golden Ticket to see a new high tech version of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.
Swindon’s New College Performing Arts students are presenting the innovative play based on the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder at the Phoenix Theatre, tomorrow and Friday from 7.30pm.
Charlie’s Golden Ticket features all the characters from Roald Dahl’s magical world including the dancing oompah loompahs and the wonderful chocolate waterfall.
The story is based on Charlie Bucket, a boy with a dream who wins a ticket to visit candy maestro Willy Wonka’s secret chocolate factory. The students sing all the original songs from the film including the popular Pure Imagination. The show is aimed at children aged from five to 13-years old. Tickets are £5 and £3 fron jason.clear@newcollege.ac.uk or on the door.
