COMEDIAN Robin Ince will be spreading some Blooming Buzzing Confusion at Swindon Arts Centre at 8pm on Tuesday, January 20.

In a fast follow up to In (and out of) His Mind, Robin continues to prod into our brains with a sharpened pencil to try and work out just how much free will anyone can have.

Looking at Milgram, Mcluhan and experiments into the mind, Robin tries to work out if we can arm ourselves against mass media despots and live life pragmatically or will we always just be clumsy animals justifying each mistake with a well-honed alibi?

The audience is promised a night of shouting, gesticulating, gurning and enquiring, as a curious mind and Id go on the rampage.

Tickets are £14 from 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.

A GROWN-UP PANTO

THE panto season may be over for little ones but the grown-up run is only just beginning thanks to The Market Theatre Company.
The troupe will bring Aladdin Trouble to the Wyvern Theatre tomorrow in a bid to give the older generation a viable alternative to the family pantomime.
In true panto tradition the group has taken the timeless tale and distorted it almost beyond recognition – packing it with corny jokes, raunchy plots and blatant sexual innuendo.
Featuring Nick Hooton, Carrie Laurence and Pip Johnson, Aladdin will keep you entertained and prolong the all too-short seasonal spirit.
The performance will start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £17.50. To book call the ticket office on 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
