It’s panto time again! Oh, yes it is!
Jack and his magic beans are creating a family show full of fun and frolics in Swindon this week.
Two Swindon theatre groups get together for Jack and the Beanstalk, the Estelle School of Dance and The Immanuel Drama Group.
Crissa Howlett is Jack, with support from Steve Summers as the Dame, Kevin Salter as the giant and Charlotte Bowles as Jill.
The pantomime takes place at the Immanuel Church Hall, Upham Road, from 7.30pm each evening until Saturday, January 17 with a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday.
The Immanuel Drama Group meets on Tuesdays and the annual productions are the pantomime, an Easter performance and a summer play. The club regularly gives concerts at retired people’s homes.
The Estelle School of Dance also presents an all-singing, all-dancing spectacular every two years in aid of charity at the Wyvern Theatre, when principal Pat Bennett does an Alfred Hitchcock move by taking on a cameo role.
Tickets to see Jack climb his beanstalk are £6 for adults and £5 concessions, including a cuppa in the interval. For more details call 01793 520169.
