PREPARE for a musical journey down memory lane when the Johnny Cash Roadshow rolls into the Wyvern Theatre this weekend.
The only tribute act endorsed by the Cash family, the production celebrates the life and talent of the legendary country, rock and blues singer.
Taking the audience from the 1950s right up to 2002 with many crucial stops along the way, the show is fronted by award-winning singer-songwriter Clive John who, not unlike Cash himself, has encountered his fair share of strife.
After a traumatic childhood accident he lost his voice for two years. He gradually started speaking again but was left with a stutter.
All the greatest hits are included, along with songs from the latest album, Out Among The Stars. Every melody is accompanied by evocative screen images and shots from Johnny Cash’s life.
Featuring Jill Schoonjans as June Carter, Amanda Stone and Louise Masters as the Carter Sisters along with the JC Horns, all aspects of Cash’s life are covered with impeccable taste.
The Johnny Cash Roadshow will appear at the Wyvern Theatre on Sunday, September 13 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £20 and available from the box office on 01793 524481 or at
