Big Brother's Simon Gross, famous for lasting two hours 'in the house' on launch night, is heading for Swindon.

Forget the Full Monty, Simon is strutting his stuff with The UK Pleasure Boys, on Friday at the Ferndale Road Club for an eye-opening live revue show.

Simon, or Mr Showbiz as he is better known, is currently touring with the guys as compere, but his 'showbiz' career includes acting, presenting, and producing.

Like many all round entertainers Simon learned his craft as a Redcoat at Butlins in Scarborough.

The tough grounding stood him in good stead for children's shows, pantomimes with former Gladiator Wolf, and his great pal Gareth Hunt, who starred in The Avengers.

As Benny in the West End production of Singalongabba, at the Whitehall Theatre, Simon had great fun with a false beard and Swedish accent.

"An achievement I felt was a big plus to my CV,'' he said.

On TV he showed what a dreadful cook he is when he appeared on Hell's Kitchen, and he had fun setting up Laurence Llewyn Bowen with a Gotcha for Noel's House Party, on the BBC.

The versatile entertainer has trod the boards in drag, as a pantomime dame and as a female impersonator.

Simon has a new single out, not surprisingly called Showbiz. It was his catchphrase from day one and he clocked up 400 utterings of the word showbiz on opening night alone.

After being evicted through the Time Bomb twist he went back in the Big Brother House two weeks later and lasted 30 days, under the scrutiny of the TV cameras before being evicted.

Simon played in the Soccer SixFest 2015, held at Mile End Stadium, on Sunday September 6 alongside Dappy, The Darkness, Jake Wood, Harry Derbidge, Ray Quinn and Jake Quickenden. He launched his single on the same day.
