IF there’s something strange in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call? ...

How about Nasty Nick Cotton from EastEnders?

John Altman, who played Nick, is heading to Swindon to co-host Swindon Screams2.

The Reading-born actor is teaming up with Swindon’s own Luke Skywalker for a Halloween party at Grange Leisure, Grange Drive, Stratton St Margaret, on Friday, October 30, from 7-11.30pm.

John was one of the original cast members when the long running soap started in 1985, but has had a varied career as an actor, starting with the 1979 film, The Great Train Robbery.

He played George Harrison in the TV film Birth of the Beatles, had a part in Quadrophenia and also in An American Werewolf In London.

He has also trodden the boards in theatre, including in an adult panto alongside fellow EastEnders stars Barbara Windsor and Mike Reid.

He starred in the John Godber play Bouncers, toured in the long running musical Chicago as Billy Flynn and appeared in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as a rebel pilot.

His musical talents include being lead singer of the rock band Heavy Metal Kids.

At Swindon Screams2, partygoers can meet John and take a selfie with the star.

Professional magicians will be creating some magic throughout the evening, while Freddie Kruger will be making the most of the fright night, so be prepared to be scared.

Tiny the Wampa and T-Rex will be stalking the shadows.

Singer songwriter Charlie Anne will be performing and Skywalkers disco will be spinning some creepy tunes.

For a shocking experience you can sit in a real electric chair. There will also be a charity auction and raffle.

For the young ones there will be tattoos and face painting, candy floss and popcorn.

Tickets are £10, £5 for children, and £25 for family ticket, available from Holmes Music, Skywalkers Fancy Dress Shop or on the door
